Description
Yoto Says: The incredibly talented Kanneh-Mason family play beautiful classical music and charming folk songs close to their heart.
The Kanneh-Masons are a family of seven talented siblings who love playing music together. ‘River of Music’ celebrates the sources of their musical inspirations: home, love and family. It includes classical favourites, folk songs, and spirituals.
From Schubert’s charming ‘Trout Quintet’ which the siblings spent their childhood listening to, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s “Deep River” to traditional Welsh hymns like “Ar Lan y Môr”, the music honours the family’s roots and the stories passed down through generations.
The perfect introduction to classical music.
“This is a story about our family and the sources of our music. Music runs like a river through the generations, and our passion for listening and playing music comes from our grandparents, and from their stories, flowing from the places and dreams they passed on” – The Kanneh-Mason Family
